Stephanie Krista Nihon (née Smollett) is a multi-talented and seasoned creative and entrepreneur with a distinguished career in the entertainment industry. She has expertise in production across television and commercials and experience in TV / Film financing for studios, technology companies and startups.

Nihon is known for being the creator and executive producer of the multiple award-winning TV series, 'GOOMBAY KIDS,' the number-one live-action children's show in the Caribbean with 5 seasons produced. The series has garnered 15 international awards, including Best TV Series at the Cannes World Film Festival, where Nihon also won Best Producer. 'GOOMBAY KIDS' has secured historic streaming deals  for the region and is now available on major platforms like The Roku Channel (Worldwide), Tubi, Kanopy, Amazon, and Apple TV.

Her extensive production credits include notable projects for Netflix, Disney, ROKU, CW, Stella Artois and Amazon and she is a recognized leader in her field, named one of the Top Ten Inspiring Women to Watch in 2024 by Women's Herald and one of the Top Ten Entrepreneurs Disrupting Their Industry by Disrupter's Magazine. She also received a Global Recognition Award. Nihon is deeply committed to environmental advocacy and empowering underrepresented talent, a passion she pursued for six years as a consultant for CMM Talent and Modeling Agency in Nassau, where she helped secure international contracts for up to 30 models and actors.

As a sought-after speaker, she was notably a keynote speaker and panelist at UNESCO's Transcultura Event. Nihon also founded The Cays Conference, a groundbreaking scouting event that brought 15 top international modeling and talent agencies to The Bahamas. The inaugural event in 2023 was a resounding success, with over 400 callbacks resulting in signed contracts for aspiring models and actors from the Caribbean and beyond.

In her earlier years, she was discovered at age 15 by Elite Models in NYC and quickly rose to prominence as an top fashion model, appearing in prestigious magazines like Italian VOGUE, American VOGUE, and Harper's Bazaar, and walking the runway for renowned designers. She made history as the first Bahamian model to sign with Elite Model Management and be featured in Italian VOGUE. 

In her spare time she loves art photography, to paint and spend time with her family and three daughters.
